January Board Meeting

Present: Mike West, Rod Sauer, Marsha Egleston, Hannah Sickles, Elias Martinez, Mark Mace, Stephanie Mace, Lisa Heinz

Not Present: Kathy Abfall, James Colgan

Meeting called to order at 4:15pm

1. Discussion about collecting data from surveys using Survey Monkey
   • Less than $500/yr subscription
   • Lisa will set up account
   • Mark will manage it
2. General Membership Meeting and Voting
   • Location
     • Lutheran Church basement – Rod
     • Rod will check into this
3. Review Holiday Shoppe Stats
   • Discussion of responses to post-Shoppe survey
   • See attached attendance stats
   • Door prize sheets
     • Mike: made motion to pay Lisa $1 per card ($400+/-) for data entry services
     • Marsha: seconds
     • Motion caries
4. Mom’s Weekend event
   • Dairy Barn taking over management of the event
   • Do we want to have our own the same weekend?
     • Discussion on timing of our own event, where will it be, etc
     • Decided not to do our own event this year,not enough time to plan
5. Treasurer’s Report
   • $15,127 in accounts
   • Holiday Shoppe Numbers, see attached
     • Rod: the outline gives us a baseline for where money went
6. Meeting the last day of the Holiday Shoppe
   • Biggest complaint on the survey: need consistent food offerings
     • More variety of foods
7. SOFA
   • Southern Ohio Fiber and Arts Festival
   • AAG fronting the rental money
     1. $1500/day
     2. $3000
   • Need a contract
     • Split income percentages
8. Treasurer’s Report:
   • Rod got help getting Quickbooks setup
     • Need to pay the invoice – pre-approved when the board agreed to give Rod the help
   • Rod has a contact interested in helping to create an artist’s studio for local artists
9. Roundtable discussion
10. Annual Report
    • Needs final edits 
    • Sent to membership

    • Call for nominations for Officers with list of descriptions
    • Electronic vote via Survey Monkey
    • Invitation to membership to attend open meeting and give election results
