Scholarhip Applications are closed for the 2026 year
The Athens Art Guild wants YOU to apply for our Continuing Education Grant program! Applications are open to all Guild members in good standing. The grant recipient will receive $500 to attend a continuing education event or class in their area of interest sometime in the next 12 months after the grant is awarded. This is an excellent way to develop new skills, remain relevant in your field, and network with other artists.
Deadline: January 31st, 2026
The Grant recipient will be allowed to use funds to cover event fees, travel costs, meals, hotels, and other such expenses for the Member’s attendance at the Event. This grant will be awarded in 2026 and must be used within twelve (12) months of their acceptance of the Grant.
Two AAG Members will receive a Continuing Education Grant this year, and previous grant recipients must wait until the third year after winning a grant to apply again. Decisions of the Board are final. The grant cannot be transferred to any other person including other Members of the Guild.
After completing the Event, the Member will be reimbursed based on the acceptance letter. The Member receiving the Grant will be required to present a brief report of the experience with 5-10 high quality photos. This report is due withing 2 weeks of the completion of the Event, and is required to promote the scholarship and share information gained.

Guidelines:
- Two AAG Members will receive grant funding in the current year.
- Applicants must be Guild Members in good standing.
- Previous grant recipients must wait until the third year after winning a Grant to apply again.
- The Event chosen by the Applicant must relate to arts and/or crafts.
- The Grant cannot be used for capital assets such as computers, cameras, saws, or raw materials.
- The Grant is strictly for educational purposes and does not provide any other personal benefits.
- A Grant to any Member under this submission in no way commits the Guild to any additional funds greater than the amount awarded. Member agrees to hold harmless the Guild, its agents, successors, or assignees for any damages incurred during the Member’s participation in the Event, including, but not limited to, traveling to or from the Event.
